‘Always room for improvement’

Robert van der Linden – “I’ve been involved in SmartPort from the start; firstly in establishing the institution and after that, as the secretary to the Board and liaison officer for the Port of Rotterdam Authority. My scientific background is in Public Administration and Philosophy. As such, my aim is to achieve efficiency in SmartPort. The continuous primary question is: is there room for improvement? It is asked in every aspect of SmartPort in practice, such as when connecting businesses with scientists, materialising the impact of activities, the professionalization of project management, fine-tuning the SmartPort method and strengthening the relationship with professors. Of course, all is done together with all involved.”
